What you will do

• Own identity and collaboration security across M365, Entra ID, SharePoint, and Teams for 5,000+ employees.
• Manage and extend cloud security coverage for AI and data workloads on AWS using Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM.
• Embed security directly into the architecture and operation of production data platforms.
• Develop foundational security policies and a tested, practical incident response capability from the ground up.
• Provide risk posture briefings and security updates directly to the COO.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in security or cloud security engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with M365 security (Entra ID, Conditional Access, DLP, Defender).
• Proficiency in AWS security tools (Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM).
• Proven ability to find real vulnerabilities beyond the use of automated scanners.
• Strong technical writing skills for creating actionable security policies.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Auckland, New Zealand.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks or general data platform security.
• Experience working within global, multi-entity environments.
• Background in building security programs at growth-stage companies.
