Communications and Public Diplomacy Manager (Strongim Wok Long TVET): Deliver communications and public diplomacy activities to showcase Australia’s support for PNG’s TVET sector with an accent on strategy implementation, stakeholder engagement, and content development. Focus on managing public diplomacy workplan, media relations, event coordination, and performance tracking using digital analytics and MEL frameworks.

What you will do

• Develop and manage SWLT Communications and Public Diplomacy Strategy and workplan aligned with PNG-Australia partnership messaging.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement with DHERST and other partners to extend reach.
• Create locally relevant content including social media, newsletters, case studies, photography, and videography.
• Lead media relations, event logistics, budgets, and performance reporting with MEL inputs.
• Coach Public Diplomacy Coordinator and contribute to GEDSI and safeguarding objectives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to embed program principles in communications.

Requirements

• PNG national with understanding of local political and cultural context.
• Proven experience delivering communications and marketing campaigns in private sector or donor programs.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in social media, videography, photography, visual graphics, and events planning.
• Experience with MEL frameworks, media monitoring, and coaching junior staff.
• Ability to work autonomously in a team and support inclusive, adaptive programming.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of TVET or higher education sector in PNG.
