Product Owner (Finance)

What you will do

• Collaborate with business owners and stakeholders to identify user needs and develop a comprehensive product roadmap.
• Partner with application development teams and participate in daily standups to relay necessary product features.
• Review feature requests and manage the product backlog through strict prioritization.
• Write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria, while testing and demonstrating new features.
• Provide training to users and customers on new product changes.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and contribute to departmental strategies and goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in business analysis, documenting system requirements, or process workflows.
• 3 years of IT experience leading teams or projects focused on customized software solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write and interpret statements.
• Experience with major ERP solutions and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles (AR/AP).
• Proven experience working within or supporting finance and accounting functions.

Nice to have

• Experience using PeopleSoft Version 9.2 or higher.
• Background in the medical/dental insurance market, specifically supporting commission-based payments.
• Experience working with SAFe Agile development methodology.
• Experience with insurance premium calculations for Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability.
