What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement scalable distributed database systems providing high availability and performance.
• Own development of core control plane components, APIs, and workflows for Aurora infrastructure.
• Optimize developer experience and operational tools to enhance speed and reliability of cloud-native databases.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate in a flat, startup-like team structure.
• Drive innovations in database management at hyper-scale impacting hundreds of thousands of users.

Requirements

• Experience in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting systems with focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
