TL;DR

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality rigs for characters, weapons, and creatures for real-time applications.
  • Develop skinning, deformation systems, and blend shape setups to achieve high visual fidelity.
  • Collaborate with animators and character artists to ensure rigs are intuitive and production-ready.
  • Implement and support rigs inside Unreal Engine, utilizing Animation Blueprints for logic and state machines.
  • Create custom rigging tools and pipeline solutions in Maya to improve team efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot rigging-related technical challenges and optimize the overall animation pipeline.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in rigging, skinning, and deformation systems for characters and creatures.
  • Hands-on experience with the Unreal Engine animation pipeline and Animation Blueprints.
  • Proficiency with 3D DCC tools, specifically Maya.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming or scripting (Python, C#, or C++).
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Must be based in Argentina, Peru, or Chile.

Nice to have

  • Experience working on AAA game productions.
  • Experience with FPS / first-person weapon pipelines.
  • Knowledge of procedural rigging systems or modular rig setups.
  • Familiarity with Control Rigs in Unreal or mocap cleanup and retargeting pipelines.
