Senior Tools Engineer (CRYENGINE)

Senior Tools Engineer (CRYENGINE): Help create and deploy suite of development tools for CRYENGINE Sandbox Editor and game teams with an accent on distributed micro-service architectures, user interfaces, and performance optimization. Focus on collaborating with artists, designers, and engineers to design efficient tools, maintain low-level systems, and ensure code reliability and stability.

Frankfurt (Onsite). Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main area, Germany.

What you will do

• Help create and deploy suite of development tools, both in-cloud and on-prem, across multiple platforms.
• Contribute to the development of the CRYENGINE Sandbox Editor.
• Collaborate closely with artists, designers, and software engineers on requirements and design of tools.
• Propose tools and methods to increase efficiency and quality of content development.
• Contribute to maintenance and improvements of critical low-level systems.
• Ensure reliability and stability of the code base, and drive adoption of new techniques, technologies, and languages.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional software development experience.
• Excellent C#, C++ programming skills.
• Experience with distributed, micro-service architectures and software configuration and deployment with Kubernetes.
• Experience developing user interfaces and working with HTML and Qt frameworks (or similar).
• Expertise with performance profiling tools.
• Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main area, Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience working with multithreaded, real-time systems.
• Knowledge of WPF and/or TSX (e.g. React).
• Strong TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go programming skills.
• Experience with any game engines, preferably CRYENGINE.
