TL;DR
Data Engineer (IrisX Analytics Product): Building end-to-end data pipelines processing real-time IoT telemetry for construction analytics platform with an accent on Databricks stack, governance, and scalable data sharing. Focus on designing multi-tenant architectures, low-latency transformations, and AI-powered insights delivery.
Location: Hybrid in Aarhus, Aalborg, Copenhagen, or Kolding, Denmark. Remote-first but expect to join data team in Aarhus or Aalborg from time to time.

What you will do
- Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from Kafka ingestion via PySpark transformations to customer-queryable Gold-layer models using Delta Lake and Databricks SQL.
- Evaluate and adopt new Databricks features for multi-customer workspaces to improve platform capabilities.
- Define golden paths for internal teams to contribute data into IrisX Analytics ensuring consistency and governance.
- Enable scalable self-service data integration for customers including metadata and time-series telemetry.
- Monitor data quality, pipeline health, and consumption to build trust and support pay-as-you-go products.
- Collaborate with data scientists, customer teams, pilots, and Databricks to translate needs into scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Expertise in Databricks: Delta Lake, Spark, Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog, Medallion architecture, data modeling, Delta Sharing.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for end-to-end pipelines from ingestion to consumption.
- Experience designing for scale: multi-tenancy, self-service, low-latency, monitoring.
- Excitement for AI analytics tools like Genie, AI/BI, Databricks Agents.
- Ability to work hybrid in Denmark hubs, primarily Aarhus/Aalborg.
