TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Nagoya or Tokyo, Japan

What you will do

  • Act as the primary technical interface for JOEM customers, representing the software domain team.
  • Lead software development and integration for new product development projects.
  • Translate customer and system-level requirements into detailed technical specifications and proposals.
  • Lead DFMEA/DRBFM creation and reviews with global teams and customers.
  • Manage the full software development lifecycle (V-Model) and estimate development efforts.
  • Coordinate with software project leaders to ensure successful execution and ownership of software domains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++).
  • 3+ years of experience leading global development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of inter-process communication, threading, socket programming, and GDB.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.
  • Must be based in or be able to work from Nagoya or Tokyo, Japan.

Nice to have

  • Experience in automotive software development.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with UML, Agile (SCRUM, SAFe), and Automotive SPICE (SWE.2).
  • Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO24089, ISO26262, and ISO21434.
