Senior Apple Platform Engineer (Swift/iOS/macOS): Build the MVP of a Swift-based connectivity engine that interacts with BLE peripheral devices, exposes a language-agnostic API via gRPC, and enables real-time data streaming and control commands. What you will do

• Design and implement Swift-based connectivity engine for BLE devices across iOS and macOS, including discovery, scanning, pairing, and connection management
• Develop communication flows for control commands and real-time data streams with focus on latency, throughput, reliability, queues, and multi-client distribution
• Build gRPC/Protobuf APIs as language-agnostic services
• Contribute to cross-platform connectivity architecture ensuring scalability, multi-client support, and evolution into unified layer
• Support integration with external apps like Unity (C#) clients and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure high performance, reliability, diagnostics using OSLog, MetricKit, XCTest, and maintain code quality

Requirements

• Full-time in Slovakia
• Strong experience with Swift 5.x and development across iOS and/or macOS
• Deep understanding of Apple platform architecture, application lifecycle, CoreBluetooth for BLE
• Experience designing scalable architectures, integrating with hardware devices, concurrency, async communication, performance optimization
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, code quality focus, testing, working in cross-functional teams
• Exposure to networking, APIs, or backend systems

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC/Protobuf APIs, network messaging (IPC, PUB/SUB), real-time streaming, ZeroMQ
• Knowledge of BLE protocols, hardware communication, IoT platforms
• Familiarity with C# and Unity integration, backend services, distributed systems
