Senior Financial Accountant (Gaming & Operations): Oversee gaming tax returns, revenue recognition, and financial reporting for ALH Hotels across Australian states with an accent on compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end processes. What you will do
- Oversee calculation and lodgement of Gaming Tax returns across all Australian states (QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, TAS, WA, NT).
- Review reconciliations of Net Machine Revenue from monitoring systems to General Ledger and Bank, investigating variances.
- Lead month-end procedures, P&L analysis, budgets, reforecasting, and accrual processes for utilities and rebates.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations for Keno, TAB, cash in transit, shrinkage, and venue debtors.
- Act as key contact for audits, preparing work papers and responding to queries.
- Drive process efficiencies and contribute to business projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years in Finance, Shared Services, or Global Business Services, with 3+ years in record-to-report activities
- Proven track record in process optimisation using technology and data
- Experience in highly regulated reporting environments highly desirable
- Experience with Great Plains, Dynamics 365, OneStream, or SAP S/4HANA
- Accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA)
- Experience with offshore/outsourced shared services desirable
