What you will do

• Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade back-end systems for SSO, RBAC, audit logs, and compliance.
• Drive initiatives around reliability, scalability, performance, and security to support enterprise adoption.
• Translate customer and business requirements into robust technical designs in collaboration with product teams.
• Own projects end-to-end, from initial system design through to deployment and long-term maintenance.
• Contribute to platform architecture and technical strategy as the product's enterprise surface area expands.
• Mentor engineers and uphold high standards for code quality, observability, and security.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on backend software engineering experience, ideally in high-growth tech environments.
• Experience building enterprise features such as IAM, trust, permissioning, or compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in designing REST or GraphQL APIs and operating distributed systems.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic startup settings and comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration.
• Deep interest in artificial intelligence and active use of AI tools in the development workflow.
• Location: Must be based in Sydney and able to work hybrid (3 days in office).

Nice to have

• Understanding of large-scale per-customer deployments (on-premise and cloud).
• Knowledge of FGA/RBAC access controls, AWS infrastructure, and SSO/OAuth systems.
