What you will do

• Handle emergency calls from public safety agencies, BNSF employees, and the general public.
• Coordinate responses to emergencies and serve as a primary information source for Resource Protection.
• Monitor physical access to the Network Operations Center and corporate headquarters facilities.
• Oversee environmental and fire alarm systems.
• Provide detailed reports and testimony when required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
• Obtain Basic Telecommunicator Proficiency license (TCOLE) within the first year of employment.
• Basic working knowledge of computers and software.
• Must pass extensive background investigation and medical/psychological evaluations.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on, 3 days off).

Nice to have

• College Degree.
• 3+ years of experience in 911/Emergency dispatch (city, county, state, federal, or railroad).
• Advanced Telecommunicator license.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
