What you will do

  • Administer bi-weekly payroll for US and Canada and monthly payroll for UK, Australia, and Portugal.
  • Manage payroll deductions, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate federal, state, provincial, and local tax filings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all payroll-related employee inquiries via email and Slack.
  • Coordinate with People and Finance teams for new hire setup and calculate payments for employees on leaves of absence (LOA).
  • Administer retirement and pension plans, including US 401(k), UK Pension, and Australian Superannuation.
  • Produce cyclical payroll reports and provide documentation for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in Payroll or HR Generalist/People Operations roles.
  • Experience administering payroll in the UK or US with knowledge of relevant local laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS); experience with Deel is a plus.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information.
  • Must be based in the US (Eastern Time Zone).

Nice to have

  • Experience managing payroll across multiple international regions (e.g., Canada, Australia, Portugal).
  • Prior experience with retirement/pension plan administration.
