Senior Decision Scientist (Search Experience)

TL;DR

Senior Decision Scientist (Search Experience): Leading the analytical side of a cross-functional team to remove friction and introduce new search features with an accent on image search and search ranking. Focus on validating business impact using statistical methods, designing A/B tests, and developing KPI monitoring systems.

Location: Hybrid (Europe). 2 days in office are recommended but not enforced.

Salary: €3,433 - €4,650 gross per month

What you will do

• Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Test and analyze developed opportunities using statistical methods and visualization tools to validate business impact.
• Select, calculate, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify root causes of issues.
• Create self-service dashboards to enable stakeholders to leverage data for business insights independently.
• Promote a data-driven culture by implementing best practices in analytics and decision-making.
• Ensure all new business initiatives are analytically reviewed for potential impact.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Decision Scientist, Data Analyst, or Data Scientist.
• Proven experience with A/B testing and product development.
• Strong proficiency in at least one statistical programming language such as Python, R, Julia, or Scala.
• Expert knowledge of SQL and experience with dashboarding tools like Looker or Tableau.
• University degree in statistics, econometrics, economics, business, or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
