Buyer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage new vendor creation and setup within the COUPA ERP system.
• Coordinate purchase requisitions and PO creation, while monitoring the approval workflow.
• Secure materials based on production plans and forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Verify delivery notes against purchase orders and handle material rejections.
• Maintain ERP data including supplier information, lead times, pricing, and invoice processing.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvements in purchasing processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of operative purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent training.
• Solid proficiency in Excel, job costing, and variance analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with Manufacturing, QA, and R&D.
• Must be based in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
