Humanitarian Access, Security and Safety Officer

What you will do

• Update policies, procedures, and guidelines for staff safety, operational security, and program continuity.
• Conduct risk assessments for contracted and prospective offices and residences in Bekaa and South areas.
• Monitor security situations and provide timely advisories and daily contextual updates to management.
• Negotiate and maintain humanitarian access through regular meetings with state and non-state actors.
• Deliver security briefings and training on SOPs, contingency plans, and communication protocols.
• Manage and track permits, clearances, and exemptions to facilitate efficient field access.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• 3-5 years of experience working with NGOs, international agencies, or multinational businesses.
• Must be based in Lebanon with the ability to travel frequently to the Bekaa and South regions.
• Proven experience negotiating access for humanitarian or other agencies.
• Strong analytic problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French.
