HR Manager (HRBP): Leading tactical HR support for managers and employees within hirify.global Japan with an accent on the HR Value Chain (Select, Manage, Develop, Grow & Reward). Focus on partnering with functional managers to drive high performance, executing global HR philosophies, and optimizing talent management and C&B.

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Hybrid (up to 40% remote work allowed).

What you will do

• Partner with people managers to influence priorities and drive high organizational performance.
• Implement global talent initiatives, succession planning, and strength-based development programs.
• Manage local compensation and benefits to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with global guidelines.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, utilizing tools like hirify.global Wingfinder.
• Handle employee relations cases and ensure strict compliance with Japanese employment legislation.
• Utilize HRIS tools (SAP HR, Smart Recruiters, Anaplan) for data-driven reporting and workforce planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of HR generalist or Business Partner experience, preferably in a global matrix organization.
• Fluent Japanese and Business-level English (written and spoken) are required.
• Proven experience working with HRIS tools such as SAP HR, Smart Recruiters, or Anaplan.
• Experience managing employee relations and providing pragmatic solutions for business and employees.
• University degree.
• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
