What you will do

• Design and implement embedded firmware modules for automotive semiconductor products.
• Lead firmware verification and validation activities during pre- and post-silicon phases.
• Define and implement firmware test concepts, test cases, and test environments.
• Perform system bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis across hardware and software boundaries.
• Document design decisions and test results in accordance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with international cross-functional teams across multiple sites.

Requirements

• Strong experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++, particularly in automotive or safety-critical environments.
• Deep understanding of embedded systems and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Proven experience with firmware verification, testing methodologies, and debugging techniques.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• English: C1 level communication skills (written and spoken) required.
• Location: Based in Gratkorn, Austria.

Nice to have

• Experience with ROM-based firmware, bootloaders, or early silicon bring-up phases.
• Python proficiency for automation, tooling, or test support.
• Basic knowledge of digital hardware design and HDL (Verilog or VHDL).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
