TL;DR

Field Sales Engineer (SaaS): Driving revenue growth by designing and validating technical solutions for retail and hospitality clients with an accent on solution architecture, competitive positioning, and customer confidence. Focus on bridging the gap between sales and implementation, managing RFPs, and delivering high-impact product demonstrations.

Location: Must be based in Birmingham and be able to travel regularly across the North of England and Midlands.

What you will do

  • Partner with Account Executives to scope and design technical solutions that address customer needs.
  • Conduct on-site discovery and provide in-person product demonstrations for field sales teams.
  • Manage the technical ownership of RFP and RFI responses, coordinating with Product and Legal teams.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to provide technical deep dives and differentiation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to share customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.
  • Support trade shows and industry events as a technical product ambassador.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, solutions consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Experience with cloud-based SaaS technologies, preferably in the hospitality or retail sectors.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom is required.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and integrations.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the North and Midlands.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on restaurant or hospitality industry experience.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages.
