TL;DR

Engineering Lead (Options Trading): Leading the Options Engineering team to drive continuous improvement of the trading infrastructure with an accent on automated quoting, execution, and risk controls. Focus on evolving a Rust-native systematic options trading platform and solving complex low-latency engineering challenges.

Location: Must be based in European time zones or the US East Coast time zone

What you will do

  • Lead and grow an Options Engineering team of approximately 7 engineers.
  • Own and evolve a Rust-native systematic options trading platform.
  • Drive technical direction for trading infrastructure, system design, performance, and production reliability.
  • Manage automated quoting, execution, pricing workflows, and risk controls.
  • Partner closely with trading, quant, product, risk, and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Balance technical leadership with people management, delivery ownership, and operational discipline.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in systematic trading, options market-making, or low-latency trading systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Rust, C++, or C.
  • Deep understanding of algorithmic options trading, including pricing and market data workflows.
  • Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred) in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service boundaries, and gRPC.
  • Based in European time zones or the US East Coast time zone.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience with crypto exchange connectivity.
  • Experience with FPGA technologies.
  • Knowledge of Node.js-based services.
