What you will do

• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS network architectures and hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises and AWS.
• Develop and maintain reusable, environment-aware Terraform modules for infrastructure automation.
• Implement and review network security controls (NACLs, Security Groups) aligned with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 requirements.
• Optimize AWS network performance and implement monitoring and alerting using DataDog, Prometheus, and AWS-native tools.
• Act as a networking subject matter expert, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to architecture standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud or platform engineering, with a strong focus on AWS networking.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Atlanta, USA.
• Advanced understanding of AWS networking services (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, VPNs).
• Extensive experience with Terraform and integrating infrastructure provisioning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of supporting FedRAMP-compliant environments and security documentation.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java, and strong Linux fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience operating FedRAMP Moderate or High environments.
• AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty certification.
• Experience with Kubernetes and service mesh networking (Istio, Envoy).
• Familiarity with zero-trust networking models.
