What you will do

• Establish and maintain project art pipelines throughout the project life-cycle.
• Develop and integrate in-house toolsets, materials, and shaders.
• Perform performance profiling to ensure all artwork meets memory and frame rate guidelines.
• Collaborate with artists to improve asset performance while maintaining visual fidelity.
• Create technical guides and tutorials to improve efficiency in the art pipeline.
• Mentor other members of the Technical Art team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Maya and/or 3DS Max.
• In-depth knowledge of Python.
• Understanding of modern rendering, shading, lighting, and PBR workflows.
• Knowledge of current console hardware technical limitations.
• Must be able to work hybrid (3 days per week) from Daresbury or Newcastle, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, C#, or the Maya API.
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Substance, or Houdini.
• 2+ years of experience in game development with at least one published title.
