What you will do

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of Technical Artists, providing direction and support for professional growth.
• Collaborate with rendering engineers to create scalable and performant shader solutions for PC, console, mobile, and cloud.
• Define material standards, documentation, and best practices for global art teams.
• Own performance metrics for materials, geometry, lighting, and VFX to ensure frame-rate and memory targets are met.
• Drive research and workflows for improved rendering techniques and a streamlined content creation process.
• Contribute to and improve the existing toolset and production workflows.

Requirements

• 6-8+ years of professional game development experience.
• Proven experience managing a team of technical artists.
• Deep understanding of Unreal Engine and the Blueprint system.
• Extensive experience with PBR materials and dynamic lighting workflows.
• Strong knowledge of shader creation via node graphs, HLSL, or GL.
• Intermediate skill with Python and C++.
