Sr Systems Engineer (IT)

What you will do

• Provide front-line local IT support for all aspects of IT for sites in Japan.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for Linux, Windows, and MAC systems.
• Resolve application issues across multiple platforms, including smart devices.
• Act as an escalation point for the service desk regarding local user issues.
• Manage system and accessory inventory adhering to asset management processes.
• Maintain site documentation and manage Jira tickets within stated SLAs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of continued experience in an IT role, preferably within a multinational company.
• Proven experience troubleshooting network systems and OS (Linux, Windows, MAC) in a global environment.
• Ability to drive and own technical initiatives and projects.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Yokohama office.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI scripting, Python, and JSON.
• Proficiency with systems tools including SCCM.
• Deep expertise in OS configuration and peripheral hardware.
• Knowledge of the EDA (Electronic Design Automation) business.
