Engineering Associate (R&D / Laboratory)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware 19805, United States; onsite laboratory role.

What you will do

• Operate and assist in developing benchtop test equipment for material-property measurement and long-term reliability testing.
• Collect, compile, organize, and prepare test data for engineering analysis.
• Maintain laboratory operations through sample labeling, waste disposal, and equipment verification and calibration.
• Prepare samples with handheld power tools and contribute to hardware modifications and custom fabrication.
• Apply scientific reasoning to improve testing processes and solve technical challenges.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to deliver project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with programming and data acquisition techniques.
• Working knowledge of CAD modeling and practical electrical engineering, including circuitry, testing, or hardware interaction.
• Comfort using power tools for physical sample preparation and modifications.
• Strong organization, time management, self-motivation, and ability to learn specialized tests and processes.
