What you will do

• Lead technical discussions regarding improvements in reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to High Level Designs (HLDs) for new products and platforms.
• Mentor junior SRE staff and support their professional growth.
• Lead incident response and conduct post-mortem activities for assigned services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize reliability improvements and address technical debt.
• Develop code and implement automation to minimize ongoing toil.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Software Development or Linux Systems Administration.
• Proficiency as a Linux Production Systems Engineer with experience in large-scale Web Services infrastructure.
• Development experience in Python (preferred), Bash, Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed storage (Hadoop, Ceph) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
• Knowledge of data aggregation technologies such as ElasticSearch and Kafka.
• Experience scaling traditional RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) with High Availability.
• Proficiency with Monitoring & Alerting tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, or Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Saltstack, Puppet, Chef).
• Background in S/W performance analysis and load testing (QA or SDET experience).
