What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of 4 Experience Designers, guiding both their craft and professional career development.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to define product direction, strategy, and roadmaps.
- Design integrated systems encompassing digital products, operational workflows, and organizational structures.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Operations, Sales, Finance, and Compliance to ensure end-to-end service delivery.
- Scale design practices and foster cross-domain cohesion across the Experience Design organization.
- Contribute as a player-coach to create reliable, compliant financial tools for small businesses.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience designing services and software, specifically in B2B SaaS, fintech, or regulated domains (HR, payroll, tax).
- 2+ years of experience managing or directing designers with a proven ability to coach talent.
- Demonstrated experience co-leading cross-functional teams through ambiguity to deliver user-centered outcomes.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership on complex operational workflows and articulated business impact.
- Fluency in Figma and a deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research.
- Must be based in New York, NY to work from the NYC office in a hybrid capacity.
