What you will do

• Design, develop, and launch backend systems and APIs.
• Break down large projects into incremental tasks and deliver them in phases.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to define technical constraints and trade-offs.
• Navigate large codebases, debug existing implementations, and provide feedback through code reviews.
• Monitor system metrics, participate in on-call rotations, and maintain team artifacts.
• Contribute to the engineering community by participating in the interview process.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in typed backend languages such as Kotlin or Java (C# is an acceptable alternative).
• Experience building web applications with React and using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience creating Playwright UI tests and backend tests for Kotlin and Python codebases.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
