What you will do
- Lead injection mold tooling projects from concept to production release.
- Select and manage external mold vendors, including technical collaboration and purchase orders.
- Conduct design reviews and interpret mold flow simulation results to validate tooling.
- Participate in First-Off Tool (FOT) trials and develop mold verification reports.
- Maintain mold drawings, 3D models, serialization, tracking, and preventive maintenance plans.
- Troubleshoot tooling issues with molding and manufacturing engineers for continuous improvement.
- Design industrial machinery, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures using CAD/CAM.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years relevant experience, or Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
- Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire (no sponsorship below Principal level).
- Experience in regulated industries preferred, such as medical devices.
Nice to have
- Injection mold tooling design and development experience.
- Working with tooling vendors and mold makers.
- Mold flow simulation knowledge and FOT trials.
- Preventive maintenance planning and troubleshooting molding issues.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks, CAD/CAM, or similar tools.
