TL;DR

Accounting & Tax Manager (Finance): Manage local accounting, tax, and filings operations in Greece using Netsuite with an accent on monthly closures, GL reconciliations, tax coordination, and statutory audits. Focus on supporting global finance in implementing new principles, automating processes, and handling cross-group cash transfers.

Hybrid or remote, place of work is Athens with regular visits to the Athens office expected, especially during onboarding.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly closures using Netsuite, including GL accounts reconciliations, IC reconciliations, AR/AP, bank details, and group cash transfers.
• Coordinate tax matters (income taxes, DTA/DTL, VAT, WHT, R&D deductions) with local advisors and US tax manager.
• Manage monthly accruals, supporting documentation, local statutory audits, and all filings.
• Support global finance in implementing new accounting principles/tools and automating internal flows.
• Liaise with accounting, tax, and audit advisors to complete declarations.

Requirements

• Fluent English required; conversational Italian a big bonus.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, IFRS or US GAAP.
• Minimum 2 years in audit (Big 4 or tier 2 preferred) + 2 years in multinational group (service market ideal).
• Prefer CPA or local chartered accountant qualification.
• High Excel proficiency; ability to manage diverse team in fast-paced international environment.
• Proactivity, attention to detail, accuracy.
