What you will do

• Contribute to market systems inputs for country strategy, response plans, and core competency strategies, including innovative technologies.
• Lead multi-sector Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) delivered through Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) and local partners.
• Design systemic interventions addressing market dysfunctions, identify leverage points for partnerships, and monitor results.
• Strengthen operational systems with SOPs for private sector engagement and adaptive management.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams on emergency responses, cash modalities, and progress tracking.
• Develop capacity building plans, document lessons learned, and conduct market analyses with appropriate methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Business Studies, Economics or relevant field
• At least 4 years of field experience in cash and market-based programming with focus on market systems
• Demonstrated experience with multi-sector emergency response, including MPCA and RRM in humanitarian settings like Northeast Nigeria
• Experience building partnerships with private sector and local partners
• Familiarity with digital payment platforms and CVA delivery tools
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Strong strategic thinking, coordination skills, and experience in complex volatile contexts

Nice to have

• Experience with cash and market-based programming in Northeast Nigeria or similar contexts
• Robust experience with market analysis in humanitarian sector
• Experience with inter-agency coordination
• Very strong analytical, facilitation, and presentation skills
