TL;DR

Intern - Partnership Belgium (EU): Assist Senior EU Partnership Advisers in analysis of EU development funding allocations and donor engagement strategies with an accent on Annual Action Plans, Global Gateway, and fundraising support. Focus on updating training modules, coordinating surveys, supporting thematic leads, and preparing strategic meetings.

Location: Brussels, Belgium (onsite)

What you will do

• Develop analysis on EU development funding for prioritized countries, including Annual Action Plans and Special Measures.
• Update donor engagement training modules for EU development donors.
• Analyze latest evolutions of Global Gateway and relevant donor feedback.
• Support NRC thematic leads (ICLA, Education) on EU-level donor engagement.
• Coordinate inputs to VOICE and DG ECHO surveys and internal prioritisation for EU funding.
• Attend meetings, draft minutes, arrange visits for field colleagues, and provide ad-hoc administrative support.

Requirements

• Fluency in English; knowledge of French and Dutch is an asset.
• University degree in Law, International Relations, European Affairs or equivalent.
• Good analytical, administrative, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of EU institutions and donors is an asset.
• Interest in refugee/humanitarian issues; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable in multicultural NGO environment; commitment to humanitarian principles.
