Location: Hybrid in Athens, Greece

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end data quality and coverage for assigned dirty petroleum products (DPP) markets, flows, and geographies.
  • Lead complex data investigations, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement structural fixes.
  • Perform large-scale data validation, ingestion, and backtesting against external benchmarks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data Scraping teams to improve data granularity.
  • Translate client feedback from commercial teams (Sales/CS) into actionable product improvements.
  • Support and mentor junior analysts to raise overall team capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Energy, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in oil markets with strong Crude or refined oil products exposure.
  • Strong understanding of global trade flows, shipping, and refinery dynamics.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, intermediate SQL, and basic to intermediate Python.
  • Proven experience working with large, complex datasets and driving data quality improvements.

Nice to have

  • Market knowledge of DPP flows, arbitrage, and infrastructure.
  • Experience working with geospatial, satellite, or vessel tracking data.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, scraping, or data architecture concepts.
