What you will do

• Serve as the business owner for Okta's data protection tool suite, handling evaluation and implementation of security tools.
• Design and execute a multi-year data security maturity roadmap.
• Collaborate with Cyber Defense and Technology teams to integrate security controls within the data security stack.
• Oversee the development and uplift of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) rules.
• Identify patterns and trends in data loss incidents to enhance preventative and detective measures.
• Provide concise reports and documentation on data loss incidents for management review.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in information security with a specialized focus on data security and privacy.
• Deep technical understanding of DSPM, DLP, and CASB tooling.
• Proven experience managing security tool implementations at a large-scale company or within Big 4 consulting.
• Strong familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and PCI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in Canada.

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CDPSE.
• Experience managing small teams or mentoring junior team members.
