Software Engineer (Python)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Python/Cloud): Developing a next-generation SaaS solution for block model management within the hirify.global Evo ecosystem with an accent on cloud compute services and API design. Focus on building scalable geodata platforms using Python and Kubernetes.

Location: Hybrid (Christchurch, New Zealand). Must work from the Christchurch office three or more days per week.

What you will do

• Design and develop sophisticated software applications and modules for the hirify.global Evo ecosystem.
• Build and refine BlockSync, a next-generation SaaS solution for block model management.
• Create simulations and prototypes of software behavior to verify designs and gain stakeholder approval.
• Code, test, and document complex programs, scripts, and integration services.
• Participate in code reviews, pair-programming, and automation activities to ensure engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions.
