TL;DR

Senior Mission Designer (Gamedev): Designing and implementing engaging mission structures for a critically acclaimed AAA franchise with an accent on player motivation and the effective use of gameplay tools. Focus on prototyping mechanics through visual scripting and transitioning greybox layouts into polished, shippable levels.

Location: Must be based in the UK. Hybrid setup with the ability to work on-site a few days a week in the Brighton studio.

What you will do

• Pitch and document mission designs and improvements in a clear, digestible manner.
• Plan and implement mission beats in-engine while maintaining flow and accessibility.
• Prototype gameplay mechanics and playable experiences using visual scripting.
• Design gameplay spaces optimized for combat, traversal, and puzzle solving.
• Manage the pipeline of evolving greybox spaces into high-quality shippable levels.
• Coordinate mission delivery and iterate rapidly based on feedback.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in mission design.
• At least one released title as a Senior Mission Designer.
• Proficiency with commercial or proprietary game engines and design tools.
• Experience with Miro, Jira, and Confluence.
• Must be based in the UK.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3rd person action-adventure titles.
• Experience creating cinematic set pieces within missions.
• Experience working on melee combat games.
• Ability to work on-site in Brighton.
