Fire Engineer (Fire & Life Safety)

What you will do

• Review Contractor’s Fire & Life Safety (FLS) packages based on NFPA, SBC codes, and GDCD requirements.
• Perform technical reviews of FLS shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for testing and commissioning.
• Conduct building code and gap analysis for contractor submissions.
• Assess construction site fire safety and occupational health hazards for buildings and facilities.
• Execute frequent site inspections, testing, and commissioning for passive and active fire systems.
• Review and approve Fire Risk Assessments and emergency evacuation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 7 to 15 years of project experience covering design review, construction supervision, and fire protection installations.
• Proven experience in FLS calculations, reporting, and site inspections.
• Experience liaising with local authorities and contractors to obtain occupancy certificates.
• Ability to enter and work in Makkah.
• Preferably certified in NFPA 13, 20, 72, 101, or 2001 codes.
