What you will do

• Apply unsupervised machine learning (clustering) to client and population data to produce evidence-based needs assessments.
• Implement and evaluate Multilevel Regression and Post-stratification (MRP) techniques to estimate needs in data-sparse locations.
• Perform data feasibility assessments and build validated predictive models for specific humanitarian program interventions.
• Translate validated models into lightweight operational tools, such as scoring widgets or dashboards, integrated with Databricks and Power BI.
• Produce a practical methodological guide for Regional Measurement Advisers on data readiness, method selection, and result communication.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in economics, data science, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated experience applying clustering and predictive modelling to real-world, messy, or administratively-generated datasets.
• Proficiency in R or Python.
• Familiarity with the humanitarian or international development sector, ideally with NGO or research institution experience.
• Strong technical writing skills to translate complex analytical findings for non-specialist audiences.
• Experience with MRP or similar small-area estimation techniques is highly desirable.
