What you will do

• Design and build scalable web applications using modern backend and frontend technologies (Rails, Node.js, React).
• Lead complex technical initiatives and evolve system architecture to support long-term reliability and scalability.
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services that power core product functionality.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business needs into high-impact technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across distributed teams.
• Drive the AI-first transformation by architecting a Unified AI Platform involving LLM routing, RAG, and agent orchestration.

Requirements

• Strong experience shipping production web applications and delivering large-scale technical projects.
• Expertise in building scalable backend systems, APIs, and modern component-based frontend architecture.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience in technical leadership or mentoring other engineers.
• Must be based in the Czech Republic.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, React, or Next.js.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or identity systems (OAuth, OIDC, SAML).
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
