TL;DR

Financial Accountant (Banking): Produce statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and deliver management reporting with an accent on financial insights, analysis, and compliance. Focus on overseeing balance sheet reconciliations, managing tax obligations, and enhancing financial processes.

Location: London (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £60,000 - £64,000 per annum + Bonus + Pension

What you will do

• Produce statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and support external audits
• Deliver timely management reporting, financial insights, and analysis
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage tax reporting obligations (e.g. Corporation Tax, CRS/FATCA)
• Enhance financial processes and support system transformation initiatives
• Contribute to a strong compliance culture, including AML and financial crime controls

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Immediately available to start the contract or on a short notice period (max 2 weeks)
• Proven experience in financial services (banking preferred)
• Strong analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to work across multiple teams
• Proactive, detail-focused, and driven to improve processes
