Location: Hybrid in Tokyo, Japan (In-office 3 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

What you will do

• Lead technical design and implementation of scalable gameplay systems for a large user base.
• Develop cross-platform mobile experiences for iOS and Android, ensuring code reusability.
• Optimize performance through profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting on mobile devices.
• Collaborate with product managers, game designers, and UX specialists.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Improve development processes, testing practices, and overall code quality.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional game development experience.
• Strong expertise in Unity and proficiency in C# or C++.
• Intermediate (Business level) Japanese language skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Tokyo.
• Experience using generative AI to improve tooling and product quality.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobile or console game performance optimization.
• Knowledge of shader programming (GLSL, HLSL, Metal).
