TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer - AI / ML (AI): Architecting distributed platform services for synthetic data generation, agentic workflows, reinforcement learning environments, and scalable LLM operations with an accent on cloud-native APIs, orchestration, and production ML infrastructure. Focus on generating and evaluating synthetic data, deploying automated labeling pipelines and benchmarks, and running multi-agent systems reliably across cloud and hybrid environments.
Location: Hybrid in Redwood City, California or San Francisco, California; three days per week in the Redwood City HQ or SF office
Salary: $190,000–$240,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Architect the core platform for synthetic data generation, agentic workflows, reinforcement learning environments, and scalable LLM operations.
- Design and evolve APIs, compute services, and orchestration layers for internal and customer-facing applications.
- Generate and refine synthetic data at massive scale.
- Create and evaluate agentic systems that reason, act, and improve over time.
- Provision RL training environments and simulation frameworks for next-generation AI agents.
- Deploy benchmarks, datasets, automated labeling pipelines, and reliable multi-agent systems across cloud and hybrid environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building customer-facing, cloud-native software systems.
- Experience with AI/ML pipelines, LLM systems, agentic workflows, MLOps, model platforms, data pipelines, workflow orchestration, training or inference infrastructure, or production ML systems.
- Experience with distributed computing, large-scale data systems, or orchestration frameworks.
- Expertise in Python and at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of production web-scale systems, including monitoring, telemetry, reliability, performance, debugging, and triage.
- Experience building software products for large enterprise customers and working at high-growth technology startups.
