Data Scientist (Speech)

Data Scientist (Speech) (ML/DL): Developing and optimizing ASR and TTS models for production use at a major telecom operator with an accent on speech processing pipelines and model deployment. Focus on building end-to-end production-ready ML pipelines, optimizing for low-latency speech systems, and managing large-scale datasets.

What you will do

• Design, train, and optimize ASR and TTS models for production use.
• Develop, train, and evaluate classical ML models.
• Perform feature engineering and data analysis for both speech and non-speech data.
• Collaborate with DE and DevOps teams to deploy ML solutions.
• Plan and manage ML projects, articulating methodologies and communicating business impact to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Speech Processing.
• Strong Python skills with a focus on building maintainable and production-ready ML code.
• Hands-on experience training and deploying models for speech classification, STT, TTS, and speaker diarization.
• Experience developing end-to-end production ML pipelines, from data gathering to inference.
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and containerization tools (Docker).
• Fundamental knowledge of ML/DL theoretical concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time or low-latency speech systems.
• Experience with distributed training in multi-node, multi-GPU environments.
• Familiarity with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Previous experience with Data Science in the Telecom industry.
