TL;DR

Technical Artist (Rigging & Pipeline): Own the rigging domain for high-end 3D productions within Creative Marketing team while developing and supporting the animation pipeline. Focus on creating production-ready rigs with complex deformations, solving rigging challenges, and building scalable tools for modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering.

What you will do

  • Create high-quality rigs for characters and props focusing on deformation, flexibility, and animator control
  • Own rigging pipeline, define standards, workflows, and best practices for high-end productions
  • Solve complex rigging challenges including facial rigs and non-standard setups
  • Collaborate with animators and CG artists to improve workflows and troubleshoot rigs
  • Design and maintain scalable 3D production pipeline across modeling, rigging, animation, and rendering
  • Develop tools, scripts, automation, and enforce asset standards, naming, and versioning

Requirements

  • 3+ years as Technical Director, Character TD, or similar in animation, VFX, or high-end production
  • Strong hands-on experience in character rigging with Maya or similar tools
  • Proven ability to build complex rigs with advanced deformation for face, body, props
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, deformation, and performance-driven animation needs
  • Solid scripting skills and experience building/maintaining production pipelines
  • Deep knowledge of animation workflows in high-quality productions; strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in cinematic, VFX, or advertising pipelines
  • Knowledge of MGear or similar rigging frameworks
  • Familiarity with Unity/Unreal for cinematic workflows
  • Experience with version control like Git or Perforce
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation or automation
