What you will do

• Develop and integrate firmware for VPU subsystems, including bring-up, debugging, and optimization.
• Design and maintain Linux kernel drivers for VPU and multimedia on i.MX platforms.
• Contribute upstream to Linux kernel, V4L2, and GStreamer communities.
• Enable and optimize hardware-accelerated video encode/decode pipelines.
• Integrate new i.MX devices into Linux BSP and maintain existing products.
• Support customers on VPU, multimedia, or firmware escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or similar.
• 7+ years in embedded software development.
• Proven experience in embedded firmware development.
• Strong experience with Linux kernel development.
• Valid visa and work permit for Romania.

Nice to have

• Hands-on with multimedia frameworks (V4L2, GStreamer, FFmpeg).
• Understanding of video codecs (H.264, H.265).
• Experience with ARM-based systems bring-up and low-level debugging.
• Open source contributions to Linux kernel.
