Health Promotion Manager (Roster): Manage health promotion activities in emergency responses across Ethiopian field offices with an accent on strategy development, community mobilization, and program implementation. Focus on designing health education materials, supervising community-based surveillance, and coordinating with government and NGO partners.
Location: Based in different districts/woredas under IRC Ethiopia field offices

What you will do
- Design and implement health promotion strategies, tools, and monitoring systems for emergency and development programs.
- Supervise HP teams on community meetings, surveillance, active case finding, and linkage to care.
- Provide technical support for assessments, situation analysis, and capacity building of field teams.
- Manage grants, budgets, PCMs, recruitment, and performance evaluations for HP staff.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and represent IRC in coordination forums with government and partners.
- Conduct field monitoring visits and ensure mainstreaming of gender equality and inclusion.
Requirements
- Degree or master’s in health fields (health education, public health, nursing, midwifery).
- Minimum 4 years experience (degree) or 3 years (master’s) in health programs at INGOs, including clinical and community-based work.
- Excellent health promotion skills in emergencies; strong project management, organizational, and analytic abilities.
- Knowledge of English mandatory; local language desirable.
- Certificate in health promotion/education preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience managing health promotion in emergency and development programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and stakeholder engagement.
