Cloud Security Engineer II (AWS, SecOps): Monitor and respond to security incidents in AWS infrastructure for the hirify.global Experiences platform with an accent on proactive threat detection, automation, and vulnerability management. Focus on building resilient defenses, automating SecOps tasks, and collaborating with engineering teams to secure production environments.

Location: Kraków, hybrid (open for candidates based max 2h away from Kraków)

What you will do

  • Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts from AWS infrastructure, logs, and tools like WAF, SIEM.
  • Respond to incidents impacting the Experiences platform, triage vulnerabilities from bug bounties.
  • Build and maintain security monitoring, automate operations with Python or Go.
  • Configure and tune tools like AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF.
  • Operationalize SAST/DAST/SCA findings, conduct threat modeling, guide secure coding.

Requirements

  • AWS Security Operations: Hands-on experience securing production AWS environments with GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF, CloudTrail.
  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Understanding of VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, EKS.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform.
  • Incident Response: Full lifecycle experience from detection to post-mortem.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
  • Application Security: OWASP Top 10 knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for efficiency.
