Location: Onsite in Wellington, New Zealand. Candidates must be based in or available to relocate to Wellington.

What you will do

• Determine CG camera positions and block CG characters for shots within VFX sequences.
• Create CG environments using assets provided by the Modeling department.
• Manage shot framing, composition, camera angles, paths, and movement.
• Ensure each scene meets specific lighting requirements.
• Collaborate with production teams to maintain high visual standards.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of layout experience in Visual Effects for feature films.
• Generalist Maya skills encompassing camera, modeling, animation, and rendering.
• Production experience with procedural environment building.
• Strong comprehension of photographic composition and camera lenses.
• Solid understanding of matchmove concepts.
• Must be based in or available to relocate to Wellington, New Zealand.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Nuke and Katana.
• Scripting abilities in Python.
