What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of self-service infrastructure and developer tooling to set the technical direction for platform capabilities.
• Define and champion platform abstractions and golden paths to reduce complexity and accelerate delivery for engineering teams.
• Own the strategy and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Drive improvements to the observability stack using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Grafana for system transparency.
• Embed security best practices into infrastructure and automation frameworks in partnership with Cyber Security teams.
• Mentor mid-level Platform Engineers and foster a culture of open communication and experimentation.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in cloud platforms with a track record of leading developer enablement services.
• Deep expertise in IaC and a language-agnostic approach to automation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms and core containerization concepts.
• Proven experience leading the design of CI/CD pipelines focused on deployment automation and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of observability, logging, and monitoring best practices.
• Must be based in or able to work from London for hybrid collaboration.
