Software-Defined Network Engineer (VMware)

TL;DR

Software-Defined Network Engineer (NSX-T): Designing and managing software-defined networks (SDN) using VMware NSX and Cisco ACI within data centers with an accent on network security and process automation. Focus on building automation scripts via APIs and integrating network infrastructure with security systems like Cisco ISE and ServiceNow.

Location: Hybrid; Must be based in Prague, Brno, or Pardubice (Czech Republic). Required attendance: 2 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Manage and configure SDN using VMware NSX and Cisco ACI in company data centers.
• Configure NSX-T firewalls to ensure network security and efficiency.
• Automate SDN configurations using native API interfaces.
• Create and maintain automation scripts for integration with firewalls, load balancers, Cisco ISE, IPAM, and CMDB.
• Analyze and resolve complex operational problems in data center network infrastructure.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to the creation of security standards.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and layer architecture.
• Experience with SDN networks used in data centers.
• Knowledge of VMware technologies and containerization.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting for infrastructure automation.
• Czech language proficiency (required).
• English level B2.
